Super Rich Chocolate Brownies
Description
This recipe combines melted unsalted butter with sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs for a smooth batter. Flour, cocoa powder, roughly chopped dark chocolate, and salt are whisked together separately then incorporated into the wet ingredients just until combined. The batter is spread evenly in a sprayed 9x13 inch baking dish and baked until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
The brownies have a dense and moist crumb, highlighted by the dark chocolate chunks that create pockets of melted chocolate throughout. The high sugar content balances the cocoa's bitterness, producing rich sweet flavors. Baking time is controlled to avoid overbaking and drying out the brownies.
These brownies are hearty and suitable for dessert or snacks and can be served as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream.
