Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs (750g) chicken wing including drumettes and middle sections
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 dashes black pepper ground
- white sesame
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C).
- Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Transfer them to a large bowl and toss with the oil, salt, and ground black pepper. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil, then place a baking rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack.
- Bake, rotating the pan halfway through, until the wings are fully cooked and crispy, about 45 to 50 minutes. Be sure to check on them periodically.
- Mix all the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce in a saucepan. Heat the mixture until it thickens and begins to bubble slightly. Turn off the heat and set aside.
