Instructions

Vanilla Sweetened Condensed Milk Frosting

  1. In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to whip softened butter until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  2. Slowly whip in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed in.

Chocolate Sweetened Condensed Milk Frosting

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat,  melt chocolate in sweetened condensed milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool before frosting. 

Notes

  • Chill the sweetened condensed milk for at least 2 hours or overnight before making the vanilla frosting for best texture.
  • The chocolate frosting requires no chilling of condensed milk but must be cooled after cooking before using.
