Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup butter softened, unsalted
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans optional, finely chopped, or walnuts
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

Step No.1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step No.2: Make the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Add vanilla extract, then mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms. Fold in chopped nuts if using.

Step No.3: Shape the Cookies

  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place them 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Step No.4: Bake

  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden. The cookies should remain pale on top.

Step No.5: Cool and Roll in Sugar

  1. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm. Let cool completely and roll them once more for a snowy coating.

Step No.6: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Enjoy these melt-in-your-mouth Sweetened Condensed Milk Snowball Cookies with a cup of tea or coffee!

Notes

  • Use room-temperature butter for the best texture.
  • For nut-free cookies, simply omit the nuts.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Chocolate Chip Snowballs: Fold in mini chocolate chips instead of nuts.
  • Cinnamon Snowballs: Add ½ teaspoon cinnamon to the dough.
  • Lemon Snowballs: Replace vanilla with lemon extract and add 1 teaspoon lemon zest.
