Swiss Chicken Casserole
Description
Swiss Chicken Casserole begins with chicken breast cubed into bite-size pieces and arranged in a baking dish topped with slices of Swiss cheese. A sauce is prepared by whisking together condensed cream of chicken soup with whole milk, which is poured evenly over the cheese to create a rich, creamy base.
The casserole is finished by spreading a stuffing mix tossed with melted unsalted butter on top to form a flavorful, crunchy layer after baking. Covered baking at 350°F for 40 minutes gently cooks the chicken through and melds flavors, followed by an uncovered bake for 10 minutes to crisp the stuffing topping.
This casserole provides a hearty meal combining tender chicken, smooth cheese sauce, and a textured topping. It suits family dinners or potlucks needing a one-dish entree.
