Description
The preparation begins by melting butter in a large pot, where broken spaghetti noodles, pine nuts, and cinnamon are sautéed over medium heat. This toasting step deepens the flavor and creates a golden to dark brown color without burning. After the toasted ingredients develop, crumbled chicken bouillon cubes are added and tossed to coat everything in concentrated savory seasoning.
Uncooked rice is then stirred in, combining with the mixture before adding water. The pot is brought to a boil and then reduced to low heat, covered, and left to simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until all liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. The cinnamon, pine nuts, and browned noodles impart a unique texture and warm flavor profile to the fluffy rice.

Ingredients
- 2 pine nuts handfuls
- 1 T cinnamon
- ¼ spaghetti noodles broken in half, package; raw
- 1 butter stick
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 2 c rice
- 4 ½ c water
Instructions
- melt butter in a large pot over med heat
- add broken spaghetti noodles, pine nuts and cinnamon
- allow to saute until golden brown to dark brown (but not burnt)
- break up chicken bullion cubes into the butter mixture and toss to coat
- add rice and mix
- pour in water and bring to boil
- once boiling turn down to low and simmer with the lid on for 20 to 30 minutes or until liquid has been absorbed
