Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch
Description
This recipe for Taco Bell Cheesy Gordita Crunch brings together ground beef cooked with taco seasoning and salsa, nestled inside hard taco shells. These are then wrapped in warm flour tortillas topped with baked, melted cheddar cheese. The melted cheese forms a gooey layer between the taco shell and tortilla, adding richness and binding the layers. The inclusion of a spicy ranch sauce made from sour cream, ranch seasoning, mayonnaise, and hot sauce provides a creamy and tangy heat that complements the seasoned beef and crunchy lettuce.
The dish's texture contrasts between the crisp taco shell, melted cheese, and fresh shredded lettuce, offering a mix of crispy and creamy bites. Baking the cheese on tortillas to melt before wrapping is a key step creating a distinctive cheesy outer layer that holds the taco together.
These Gordita Crunch tacos are best served soon after assembly while the cheese is warm and the shell remains crispy. They make a filling meal that combines typical taco flavors with a touch of creamy heat from the ranch sauce. Leftovers should be stored separately to maintain texture.
