Taco Pie Recipe

The Taco Pie Recipe layers seasoned ground beef, corn, salsa, and Mexican blend cheese between soft flour tortillas baked into a cohesive savory pie. The combination of taco seasoning and salsa infuses the filling with mild Mexican-inspired flavors, while the melted cheese brings richness and a gooey texture. Baking the layered tortillas and filling in a springform pan produces a firm yet tender pie that can be sliced and served individually. It’s useful for a filling dinner and accommodates garnishes like green onions, tomato, lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole for added freshness and creaminess.

Description

Taco Pie Recipe combines ground beef cooked with onions, garlic powder, taco seasoning, corn, and salsa as its main filling. The mixture is layered with flour tortillas and grated Mexican blend cheese across four layers and finished with a final tortilla topped with cheese. Baking this layered assembly at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes melts the cheese and melds the flavors, creating a unified savory pie with a soft tortilla crust. The meat remains moist and flavorful due to the salsa and water added during cooking, balancing the seasoning.

The pie slices hold together well after cooling for about 10 minutes, making it practical for serving directly from the pan or plated. Garnishes including green onion, tomato, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and black olives add brightness and varied textures, enhancing the overall experience of the dish. This layering technique offers an easy way to enjoy classic taco flavors in pie form.

Adjust the taco seasoning quantity to taste for desired spice level and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving to maintain food safety and flavor integrity.
