- 4 ripe plantains
- vegetable oil , for frying

- Peel the plantains, and cut them into diagonal slices about ¼ inch ( 3-4mm) thick.
- Heat a large pan of oil, and fry the plantain slices over medium-high heat until golden brown.
- Serve straight away.
