Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 pound beef steak cubed into 1/2 inch pieces (such as sirloin, tri-tip, or round steak)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 cups pea frozen
  • 1 1/2 cups carrot frozen
  • 2 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 4 egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup green onion sliced
  • 4 cups rice cooked
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce regular or low-sodium

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the oyster sauce and soy sauce. Pour the mixture over the cubed beef and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the cooking oil and sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once heated, add the marinated beef and season with pepper and ginger. Sauté and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, remove the beef from the pan, and set it aside. Add the frozen peas and carrots to the skillet and sauté for about 2 minutes. If needed, add an additional tablespoon of oil.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Push the vegetables to the side of the pan and pour in the beaten eggs. Cook the eggs alongside the sautéed vegetables.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cooked beef, rice, and green onions. Stir carefully to combine.
  7. Drizzle with soy sauce and let the dish heat thoroughly.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
