Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste, or puree
  • cup honey
  • cup olive oil
  • cup fresh cilantro
  • ¼ cup chopped cashews
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon tamarind paste, ⅔ cup honey, and ⅓ cup olive oil. Heat in the microwave until it has just come together smoothly, about 20 seconds.
  2. Pour the vinegar, tamarind, and honey mixture into a food processor or blender along with ⅓ cup fresh cilantro, ¼ cup chopped cashews, 2 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, ½ teaspoon cumin, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ teaspoon turmeric.
  3. Pulse until everything has blended together into a smooth, even consistency.
  4. Pour the sauce into a bowl and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • If you want the sauce to be more tart, add more tamarind paste. To sweeten it add more honey.
