Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup milk (2% fat)
- ⅓ cup Taro boba powder
- ½ cup sweet condensed milk (I used fat free)
Instructions
- Put ½ cup of 2% fat milk in a glass container and warm it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
- After that, add ⅓ cup of taro boba powder into the warm milk. Mix it well.
- Next, pour ½ cup of sweet condensed milk into the taro powder mixture.
- Stir and mix it well. Let it set aside and cool down. (If you want to speed up the process of cooling off, put the mixture into an ice bath.)
- In the meanwhile, pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl.
- Beat the cream until it thickens.
- The following step, pour the taro mixture from step 4 into the whipped cream.
- Mix the taro mixture and whipped cream.
- After, pour the mixture from step 8 into another container and cover with a plastic wrap. Freeze it for 8 hours or overnight.
- Lastly, remove the plastic wrapper after freezing for 8 hours. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes before scooping the ice cream out.
Notes
- Warm milk in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, add taro boba powder and sweet condensed milk. Mix it well and let it cool down.
- Beat the heavy whipping cream until it thickens.
- Pour taro powder mixture with heavy whipping cream and mix it well.
- Cove with a plastic wrap and freeze it for 8 hours or overnight.
- After freezing, take out the taro ice cream for 1-2 minutes before scooping out.
