Teriyaki Burgers Recipe
Description
The Teriyaki Burgers Recipe centers on thick ground beef patties grilled to medium and enhanced by a rich teriyaki sauce made from combining teriyaki sauce, water, sugars, orange juice, ground ginger, and cornstarch for thickening. Mushrooms sautéed in butter bring an earthy note, while grilled pineapple slices add a subtle caramelized sweetness. Havarti cheese melts over the patties, balancing the bold flavors with creaminess. The interplay of the tangy, sweet sauce and the savory beef creates a satisfying taste experience.
These burgers are assembled with romaine lettuce on whole sesame buns, offering textural contrast between crunchy greens and soft bread. The homemade teriyaki sauce is poured generously over the finished burger, making it the defining flavor component. This recipe suits casual meals where a gourmet-style burger is desired.
Note that the teriyaki sauce should be prepared carefully, ensuring the cornstarch is fully dissolved to avoid lumps. The sauce can be stored in an airtight container refrigerated for up to two weeks and serves well in other teriyaki dishes like chicken or salmon.
