Teriyaki Turkey Burgers with Grilled Pineapple and Onions
Description
This recipe combines lean ground turkey with fresh grated onion and ginger, seasoned with teriyaki sauce, salt, and pepper to form flavorful patties. The burgers are grilled over medium-high heat, developing a slight char while remaining moist. Pineapple rings and sliced red onions are also grilled, bringing out their natural sugars and providing a contrasting sweetness and smoky flavor to the savory turkey.
The avocado spread, made from ripe avocado blended with Greek yogurt, lime juice, honey, and seasoning, adds a cooling and creamy component that complements the grilled ingredients. The buns are toasted briefly on the grill for added texture and warmth.
Assembling the burger involves layering the turkey patty with grilled pineapple and onions, topped with the avocado spread, delivering a combination of juicy, sweet, tangy, and creamy flavors in every bite. These burgers work well for a flavorful summer meal or backyard cookout.
