Thai Peanut Beef

Thai Peanut Beef features thinly sliced flank steak cooked quickly, then coated in a spicy peanut sauce made from peanut butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. The savory and sweet sauce with a hint of heat complements the tender beef, while garnishes of sliced green onion and chopped peanuts add crunch and freshness. It delivers rich flavors suitable for a main dish served over rice or noodles.

Description

This recipe starts by whisking together a sauce of creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, and water, balancing savory, sweet, and spicy flavors common in Thai cooking. Flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain, is quickly browned in vegetable oil over medium heat to retain tenderness.

The prepared peanut sauce is stirred into the cooked beef, coating it evenly with its creamy texture and distinctive flavor notes. Green onions and chopped peanuts sprinkled over the finished dish introduce crispness and texture contrasts.

Thai Peanut Beef is a concentrated, flavorful dish that pairs well with steamed jasmine rice or noodles to soak up the sauce, providing a well-rounded meal with protein and bold sauces.
