Ingredients

  • 1 cup stuffing cubes seasoned
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg , beaten
  • 1 celery finely chopped, rib
  • 1 onion grated, small
  • 1 carrot grated, small
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sage divided, dried
  • 1 teaspoons rosemary divided, dried
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey lean
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce , whole berry
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine stuffing cubes and milk. Let stand 10 minutes.
  3. Break up stuffing cubes with a fork. Stir in egg, celery, onion, carrot, cranberries, salt and pepper.
  4. Combine sage and rosemary; add half to the mixture.
  5. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Pat meat mixture into an ungreased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake, uncovered, 25 minutes. Remove from oven and drain if necessary.
  7. Combine cranberry sauce, ketchup, pepper sauce and remaining herbs. Spread over meat loaf.
  8. Return meatloaf to oven and bake 20-25 minutes more, or until no pink remains and a thermometer reads 165 degrees.
