The Best Easy Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai Noodles Recipe
Description
The Best Easy Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai Noodles Recipe begins by cooking rice noodles till soft and rinsing off excess starch. A sauce blends fish sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, chili garlic sauce, and sugar, giving a sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy flavor base.
Chicken is cooked until slightly browned, then shrimp, garlic, and red pepper flakes are added and cooked through. The sauce is stirred in before adding beaten eggs that cook lightly in the pan. Drained noodles are tossed with the protein and sauce mixture until coated evenly.
Finishing touches include bean sprouts, chopped cilantro, peanuts, and green onions. The dish is cooked briefly more until vegetables soften just slightly. The Pad Thai balances tender chicken and shrimp, chewy noodles, crunchy peanuts, and fresh herbs.
This recipe makes a colorful, flavorful main course suitable for a casual dinner. Serving with lime wedges brightens the flavors. The use of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce gives this version a mildly different flavor than traditional Pad Thai sauces.
