The Best Easy Meatballs Recipe
Description
The Best Easy Meatballs Recipe blends equal parts ground beef and Italian sausage for a balanced flavor and fat content, mixing in aromatics like minced onion and garlic, fresh parsley, eggs, and grated Parmesan cheese as a binder and seasoning component. The mixture is seasoned lightly with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian herbs.
After forming the mixture into roughly 1 to 2-inch meatballs, they are first browned in olive oil to develop a crust that enhances texture and adds flavor. Then, the meatballs are transferred to a baking sheet and baked until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F, ensuring they are cooked through but remain moist inside. Marinara sauce is added at the end and warmed to coat the meatballs, readying them for serving.
This versatile preparation pairs well with spaghetti, roasted or steamed vegetables, or rice, providing a satisfying main dish with layers of meaty flavors and herbaceous notes.
