The Best Strawberry Apple Crisp

Apple Strawberry Crisp features succulent apples and strawberries baked beneath a deliciously golden, buttery crumble topping. This simple dessert is not only sweet and comforting but will also fill your home with mouthwatering aromas while it bakes!

Ingredients

For The Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup old fashioned oats
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter diced into small cubes, cold unsalted
  • Pinch salt

For The Crisp Filling

  • 3 apple peeled and chopped
  • 1 pint strawberries stems removed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set aside
  2. In a mixing bowl add the apples, strawberries, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice and cinnamon. Mix well and place in the baking dish
  3. In a separate mixing bowl combine the sugar, oats, flour, butter, and pinch of salt. Continue mixing until the mixture is crumbly. I recommend using your hands or a fork for this part.
  4. Spread the topping over the apples and strawberries and bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

  • Store the Strawberry Apple Crisp in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispy topping.
  • Check for doneness. If your apples need more time but the topping is nice and golden, cover with foil and continue baking until the apples are done.
  • Peel the apples.
  • Cut the apples and strawberries into uniform shapes to ensure they cook evenly.
