The Easiest Shrimp Linguine (Crazy Good)
Description
The Easiest Shrimp Linguine plate features linguine pasta cooked to al dente texture, tossed with shrimp sautéed in butter and olive oil that infuses the dish with richness and a gentle garlic flavor. The shrimp cooks just until pink, maintaining a tender bite. Seasonings include salt, red pepper flakes for slight heat, and lemon juice that adds brightness and freshness.
After combining shrimp and pasta, a bit of reserved pasta water can be added to meld the flavors and ensure the pasta is lightly coated without drying out. Fresh parsley tops the dish, contributing a herbal note, while grated Parmesan adds savory depth and creaminess to the final presentation.
This linguine with shrimp works well as a standalone main course and pairs nicely with a light salad or steamed vegetables. The quick preparation means it can be an accessible choice for a weeknight meal without compromising on taste or texture.
Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter unsalted
- 6 garlic minced, cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 lbs Shrimp peeled and deveined, large, uncooked
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup parsley chopped, fresh
- 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
Instructions
- Bring salted water to a boil, cook linguine pasta according to package instructions to al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside. Don't forget to set aside some pasta water.
- While pasta is cooking, preheat butter and oil on medium-high in a large frying pan.
- Add in minced garlic and cook it for about 15 seconds.
- Add in shrimp and cook on both sides until lightly pink, about 3 minutes on each side.
- Season with salt, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Allow it to simmer for a minute or so.
- Add pasta to the pan. Toss it all together. If you find that pasta is looking a bit dry, add some of the reserved pasta water. Top it with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese. Serve and enjoy!
