The Easiest Stromboli Pizza

This is the easiest homemade stromboli pizza recipe. It’s stuffed with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and onion. All of the ingredients are rolled into puff pastry which is baked to flaky, golden perfection. This pizza roll is addicting and will feed your entire family.

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry dough sheet, thawed
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup green bell pepper chopped
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup sausage cooked
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Roll the thawed puff pastry onto a floured surface. Spread pizza sauce over the entire pastry leaving two inches from the edge. Top the sauce with green peppers, onion, sausage, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Roll the puff pastry like a cinnamon roll toward the empty edge. Lay the stromboli seam side down on a greased baking dish. Spread the olive oil over the entire puff pastry.
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Once done let sit for 10 minutes before slicing the stromboli into even slices. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce.

Making The Quick & Easy Pizza Sauce

  1. Combine 8oz can of tomato sauce with 1 teaspoon italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon onion powder and salt to taste. Let sit for a few hours before using to bring out maximum flavor.
