Share:
Ingredients
- 1 cup pecan halves
Instructions
Oven
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a rimmed large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 6-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The pecans should be lightly browned and fragrant.
- Remove from the oven, and let the pecans cool on the baking sheet.
- Use as desired.
Stovetop
- Add the pecans to a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pecans are lightly browned and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from the skillet from the heat, and let the pecans cool in the pan.
- Use as desired.
Notes
- Pecans: I use unsalted pecan halves.
- Flavored pecans: To make flavored pecans, simply toss the untoasted pecans with about 1 tablespoon of oil. Then, add desired seasonings, and bake as directed.
