Tomato Bruschetta

Tomato Bruschetta features finely chopped tomatoes mixed with garlic, vinegar, salt, and black pepper to create a bright, flavorful topping. Grilled or toasted rustic bread rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil carries this fresh mixture, often garnished with basil, olives, and capers for added depth.

Description

The Tomato Bruschetta recipe involves combining small, finely chopped tomatoes with grated garlic, a splash of red wine or balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Optional additions like chopped kalamata olives and capers enhance the savory and briny notes. The mixture rests to let the flavors meld.

Thick slices of country-style bread are drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil and either grilled or oven-toasted until they acquire light charring or crispness. Rubbing the hot bread with halved garlic adds a fragrant, subtle bite. The tomato mixture is then spooned generously onto each slice and garnished with fresh basil leaves.

This preparation yields a bright, fresh appetizer or snack pairing the crisp, toasted bread with juicy, tangy tomatoes and herbal freshness.
