Triple Berry Crisp
Description
Triple Berry Crisp combines fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries in a lightly sweetened and thickened fruit base. Cornstarch helps the juices thicken as it bakes, while a hint of cinnamon and lemon zest adds warmth and brightness. The topping is made with quick oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon, which bakes to a lightly crunchy texture that contrasts the soft, tender fruit beneath.
The crisp is assembled in an ungreased pie dish and baked at 375°F for about 40 minutes until the topping is golden and the fruit is tender and bubbling around the edges. This cooking method yields a comforting dessert with a balance of textures and the natural sweetness and tartness of the berries.
Triple Berry Crisp works well as a seasonal treat showcasing fresh summer berries. It can be served on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to add creaminess and temperature contrast.
