Truffle Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
Description
The recipe begins with a standard cookie dough base using softened butter, two types of sugar for moisture and flavor, eggs, and vanilla. Dry ingredients include flour, baking soda, and salt, gently combined to avoid toughening the dough. Semi-sweet chocolate chips add texture and chocolate throughout the dough.
Each cookie is shaped by flattening a portion of dough, placing an unwrapped chocolate truffle in the center, and then enclosing the truffle completely in dough before rolling into a ball. This technique ensures the truffle melts inside the cookie during baking, creating a molten chocolate core surrounded by familiar cookie texture.
Baked at 350°F for about 10 minutes, the cookies come out with golden edges and a soft center encapsulating the melted truffle. Cooling on the rack helps them set slightly. These cookies pair well with milk or coffee as a rich dessert or snack.
