Turkey Burgers with Zucchini
Description
Turkey Burgers with Zucchini combine lean ground turkey with grated zucchini that has been thoroughly squeezed to remove excess moisture. Breadcrumbs add binding and texture, while grated garlic and red onion provide aromatic flavor. Salt and pepper season the mixture. Forming five equal-sized patties about half an inch thick helps them cook evenly through without drying out.
The burgers can be cooked in a hot nonstick skillet, reducing heat after searing and flipping several times to brown and cook evenly. Alternatively, they can be grilled over medium heat or cooked in an air fryer. Frequent turning prevents burning while ensuring the interior reaches a safe temperature. The zucchini keeps the burgers moist, offsetting the lean turkey's tendency to dry.
These burgers offer a balanced protein option that incorporates vegetables subtly, suitable for a main course. They can be served with typical burger condiments and buns or alongside salads.
