Description
Turkey Roll Ups are made by overlapping two slices of turkey and spreading prepared stuffing on one end before rolling tightly. They are placed seam-side down in a baking dish and covered with turkey gravy. Green beans are added alongside with butter, salt, and pepper, and cranberry sauce is spooned on the side. Covered with foil and baked, the rolls heat through and absorb gravy flavor, while the green beans cook gently in the pan. The combination echoes traditional holiday sides and provides a complete meal. The stuffing can be homemade or from a mix, made with celery, onion, poultry seasoning, and dried bread cubes moistened with chicken broth. Ingredients
- 16 turkey leftover or deli, deli sliced
- 1 ½ cups turkey gravy prepared
- 3 cups stuffing homemade or boxed, prepared
- 2 cups green beans or your favorite vegetable, frozen
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Lay out 2 slices of turkey overlapping them slightly. Place stuffing mix on one end and roll up tightly. Repeat with remaining turkey.
- Place seam side down in a 9x13 pan. Pour gravy over top of turkey rolls.
- Add frozen green beans, salt, pepper and butter to the side of the pan. Add cranberry sauce along one side.
- Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes or until heated through.
Notes
- To make stuffing from scratch: cook celery, onion, and poultry seasoning in butter until softened, then toss with dried bread cubes and chicken broth to moisten before cooling.
- Use leftover cooked turkey or deli sliced turkey for convenience.
- Covering the dish while baking keeps the rolls moist and allows green beans to cook evenly.
