Turkey Stuffed Peppers

This Turkey Stuffed Peppers recipe fills halved red bell peppers with a savory mixture of ground turkey seasoned with garlic, cumin, and cilantro, combined with tomato sauce and cooked brown rice. The filling is baked with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese until the peppers are tender and the cheese melts, creating a flavorful, moist dish. Using lean turkey and extra spices gives a well-rounded taste with balanced textures, making it a satisfying entree for a wholesome meal.

Description

Turkey Stuffed Peppers are prepared by sautéing ground turkey with minced garlic, onion, and fresh cilantro, seasoned with garlic powder, cumin, and salt. This mixture is combined with tomato sauce and chicken broth, then simmered to meld the flavors. Cooked brown rice is mixed into the turkey filling to add body and texture. Large red bell peppers are sliced in half lengthwise and seeded, then each half is stuffed with the filling and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Baking in a covered dish with broth underneath steams the peppers until tender while keeping the filling moist. This recipe delivers a balanced combination of mild turkey with aromatic spices, the sweetness of roasted pepper, and melty cheddar, suitable for a comforting and filling main dish. It accommodates up to six stuffed pepper halves, making it practical for family meals.
