Twix Cookies

Twix Cookies are buttery cookie rounds topped with smooth caramel and melted milk chocolate, replicating the flavor combination of the classic candy bar. The cookies are soft yet firm enough to hold the caramel and chocolate toppings, creating a sweet treat with layers of rich butter, chewy caramel, and creamy chocolate.

Description

This recipe starts by creaming softened unsalted butter with sugar and then incorporating eggs and vanilla extract to form a rich dough. All-purpose flour is mixed with baking powder and salt before folding into the wet ingredients. The dough is chilled to firm up, then rolled out and cut into uniform 3-inch circles that bake to a pale golden finish, holding their shape well.

After cooling, the cookies are topped with a spoonful of caramel sauce made by melting unwrapped caramels with whole milk for a creamy texture. Melted milk chocolate chips are added as a final layer atop the caramel. The chocolate is allowed to harden, creating a firm but slightly glossy finish over the sticky caramel.

The interplay of a soft, buttery cookie base with the sticky, sweet caramel and smooth chocolate coating provides a texture and flavor profile reminiscent of the Twix candy bar. These cookies make a rich dessert with distinctive layers that combine sweetness and a tender crumb.
