Vegan Acai Smoothie Recipe

The Vegan Acai Smoothie Recipe blends frozen acai purée with dates, orange juice, water, frozen mango, and fresh spinach for a nutrient-rich, smooth drink. The combination yields a thick smoothie with a balanced sweetness and a hint of earthiness from the spinach. Optional ice cubes can be added for a colder, thicker texture.

Description

This smoothie begins by loosening frozen acai purée to allow blending with soft pitted dates and bright fresh orange juice, which adds citrus notes and natural sweetness. The water adjusts consistency, while frozen mango pieces contribute tropical sweetness and thickness. Fresh spinach introduces a mild vegetal flavor and nutrients without overpowering the fruits.

Blending all ingredients to smooth ensures a uniform texture. Adding ice is optional depending on temperature preference and desired thickness. This smoothie serves well as a refreshing breakfast or snack option for those seeking plant-based, fruit-forward beverages.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 Acai purée frozen, unsweetened, 100 gram pouch
  • 2 Medjool dates pitted, soft
  • 1/2 cup orange juice fresh
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Mango frozen chunks
  • baby spinach large handful, fresh
  • ice optional, handful

Instructions

  1. To open the frozen pouch of acai puree, run it under warm water for 10 seconds. You should feel the puree loosen enough to break it up into chunks and will easily be able to open the bag with scissors.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine the acai puree, dates, orange juice, water, frozen mango, and spinach and blend until completely smooth.
  3. If you'd like a thicker shake, feel free to add a handful of ice cubes and blend again until your desired texture is achieved. Serve immediately.
