White Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Description
The White Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe combines softened unsalted butter with both white and brown sugars to create a creamy and fluffy base. Incorporating a single egg binds the mixture before adding dry ingredients like flour, baking soda, and kosher salt for structure and leavening. Folding in white chocolate chips distributes sweet pockets throughout the dough. Baking on parchment-lined sheets at 350°F for about 10 to 11 minutes produces cookies with golden edges and slightly undercooked centers, which delivers a soft texture. Once cooled briefly on the baking sheet, transferring to a wire rack finishes the process. These cookies provide a tender, rich bite with creamy sweetness from white chocolate and a hint of caramel notes from brown sugar. They are easy to store and suitable for casual snacking or dessert.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter softened, unsalted
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 egg large
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt coarse
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, cream the butter and both sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy – about 4 minutes.
- Add the egg to the butter mixture and mix until incorporated.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate medium bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Use a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, placing them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Centers might look slightly undercooked, this is the perfect time to remove them!
- Remove them from the oven and allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Repeat with the remaining cookie dough.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature.
