White Chocolate Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe
Description
The recipe starts by gently heating half-and-half with chopped white chocolate, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract over medium-low heat until the chocolate fully melts and the mixture is warmed through. This results in a smooth, rich hot chocolate base with a distinctive white chocolate and peppermint flavor. Separately, heavy whipping cream is beaten with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, creating a lightly sweetened whipped cream topping. The hot chocolate is served in mugs and topped with this fresh whipped cream and optionally sprinkled with chopped peppermint candies, adding both texture and intensified mint flavor.
This beverage is ideal for cold days, holiday gatherings, or any time a festive and comforting hot drink is desired. The combination of white chocolate’s sweetness and peppermint’s coolness makes it both indulgent and refreshing.
