White Chocolate Popcorn
Description
White Chocolate Popcorn is made by spreading freshly popped popcorn on a baking sheet and drizzling it with a smooth mixture of melted white chocolate and vegetable oil. The oil helps keep the chocolate fluid for easier coating. Once the chocolate cools and solidifies at room temperature, it forms a delicate, sweet shell around the popcorn pieces. This results in a confection that balances the crisp texture of popcorn with rich, creamy sweetness.
The preparation requires melting the chocolate carefully in short microwave bursts to avoid burning. The popcorn used can be freshly popped or microwave popcorn, allowing convenience. The popcorn is coated quickly for even coverage before the chocolate hardens.
This treat is best served at room temperature once the chocolate has set. Additional toppings like sprinkles or candy pieces can be added immediately after drizzling the chocolate for extra decoration and texture variety.
Ingredients
- 10 cups Popcorn or use 2 (2 oz.) bag of microwave popcorn, popped
- 1 bag white chocolate chips (12 oz. bag)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Notes
- After drizzling white chocolate over the popcorn, you can add sprinkles or candy pieces for added color and sweetness before the chocolate hardens.
