Ingredients

  • 6 white peaches thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar loosely packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom

  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar loosely packed
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
  • Ice cream or frozen yogurt, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lay peaches in a baking dish (mine was a rectangular 7 x 10) and sprinkle with brown sugar, cardamom and salt. Toss to coat, then set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and salt, stirring to mix. Mash in softened butter using a fork or your hands, until coarse crumbles remain. Sprinkle topping all over peaches. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until crumble is golden on top. Serve immediately with ice cream or frozen yogurt.
