White Trash Recipe

White Trash Recipe is a no-bake snack mix combining Rice Chex, Cheerios, mini pretzels, M&M’s, peanuts, and white almond bark coating. The mixture is stirred together, coated with melted almond bark, then set until firm, resulting in a sweet, salty, and crunchy treat.

Description

This snack mix uses equal parts of Rice Chex, plain Cheerios, mini pretzels, M&M’s candy, and peanuts, which come together for a diverse texture and flavor profile. The white almond bark is melted gently and poured over the cereal mixture to bind the pieces with a sweet, creamy coating.

Once combined, the mixture is spread onto parchment or wax paper and allowed to set and harden for about an hour before breaking into pieces. The contrast of crunchy cereals and salty nuts with the sweet candy and coating gives a familiar, casual snack mix experience often popular in social or holiday settings.

For holiday variation, colored M&M’s and sprinkles can be added before setting. The snack holds well stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to two weeks, making it convenient for advance preparation or gifting.
