White wine garlic salmon

This White Wine Garlic Salmon recipe features seared salmon fillets cooked skin-side down until crisp, then finished with a sauce of butter, garlic, dry white wine, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. The method produces salmon with a crisp exterior and tender interior, complemented by a fragrant, slightly acidic sauce that enhances the fish's natural flavor. It can be served with additional lemon wedges for extra brightness.

Description

The White Wine Garlic Salmon is prepared by seasoning salmon fillets and searing them skin-side down in a hot pan with oil until the skin becomes golden and crisp. After flipping, the salmon is cooked through on the flesh side and set aside to rest. The pan is then used to create a simple pan sauce by melting butter and gently frying crushed garlic until fragrant. Dry white wine and lemon juice are added, simmering and reducing to concentrate flavors. Chopped parsley is stirred in for freshness, and the salmon is returned to the pan to reheat and be basted with the sauce. The resulting dish contrasts the crispy salmon skin with a moist, flavorful interior, while the buttery, garlicky wine sauce adds brightness and complexity. Serving extra lemon wedges allows for added acidity according to taste. This preparation highlights the natural qualities of salmon, enhanced by minimal yet complementary ingredients.
