Wonton Pecan Pie Bites
Description
This recipe uses mini muffin tins sprayed lightly with baking spray to hold wonton wrappers pressed gently inside as shells. A filling is prepared by combining packed brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract, then folding in chopped pecans. Each wrapper is filled with one rounded teaspoon of the mixture. The bites bake at 350°F for around 10 minutes until the edges of the wontons turn lightly browned, indicating a crisp texture complementing the soft, sweet filling inside.
The result is a handheld sweet with the caramel-like flavor of brown sugar balancing the buttery notes of pecans, the subtle richness of cream, and the slight vanilla aroma. The thin wonton wrapper crisps rather than thickening into dough, keeping the bites delicate and easy to eat.
After baking, the bites rest briefly in the pan before transferring to a cooling rack, allowing the filling to set for easier handling. These pecan pie-inspired bites make a convenient dessert for parties or a quick sweet treat.
