This zesty homemade pizza sauce is super easy and packed with flavor from the addition of herbs, red wine, and anchovy paste. It has become our go to sauce for New York Style pizza.

Ingredients
- 8 Ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
- ¼ Cup red wine
- 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon anchovy paste
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes, until wine has reduced, and sauce has thickened. Stir occasionally.
