Zucchini Bread with Chocolate Chips

This zucchini bread combines the moist texture of grated zucchini with the sweetness of brown sugar and subtle spice from cinnamon. Melting butter and sour cream enrich the batter, while mini chocolate chips on top add bursts of chocolate in each slice. Baked until a tester comes out clean, the bread is tender yet holds together well. It's a nice way to incorporate vegetables into a sweet baked good and can be served as a snack or breakfast treat once fully cooled and sliced.

Description

Zucchini Bread with Chocolate Chips balances fresh grated zucchini’s moisture with a mildly spiced batter that uses cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Melted butter and packed brown sugar create a rich base, complemented by eggs and vanilla for flavor and structure. Sour cream adds creaminess without overpowering the texture. The sprinkle of mini chocolate chips on top provides a gentle chocolate note contrasting the bread's softness.

The bread is baked in a loaf pan at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour until a tester comes out clean, ensuring an evenly cooked center and a lightly golden crust. Cooling fully before slicing helps maintain its shape.

Once cooled, this zucchini bread works well for breakfast, snacks, or a light dessert. Its moist crumb and chocolate accents offer an appealing balance that can be enjoyed with tea or coffee. The use of sour cream or Greek yogurt contributes to its tender crumb without adding sharpness.
