12-Minute Garlic Steak Bites (Air Fryer or Skillet!)
Description
This recipe cuts sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and coats them with olive oil and a mix of brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, chili powder, and dried parsley. The sugar adds subtle sweetness and helps with browning, while garlic powder and spices provide savory depth. Cooking in a hot skillet or air fryer for about 7-8 minutes sears the pieces, locking in juices and delivering tender, flavorful bites. Stirring occasionally promotes even cooking.
The result is bite-sized steak pieces with a caramelized exterior and tender interior. They can be served as a quick main dish or appetizer, garnished with fresh parsley for color. This method allows control over doneness and is suitable for weeknight dinners or snacks when time is limited.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. sirloin steak
- 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp parsley dried
- parsley optional, for garnishing, fresh
Instructions
- Cut steak into bite-sized pieces.
- In a small bowl, toss steak with olive oil and seasonings until evenly coated and set aside.
- Bring a skillet to medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray (or oil if preferred). When warm, add steak. Cook for 7-8 minutes for well done steak, stirring a couple of times through. Or, cook until your desired internal color/temperature.
