15-Minute Sweet Mashed Plantains With Bone Broth

A comforting, nutrient-packed side dish that's easy to make! Ripe microwaved plantains are mashed and blended with rich, savory bone broth for a creamy texture and deep flavor. Perfect for pairing with your favorite main dishes or hearty proteins.

Ingredients
- 3 large microwaved plantains About 835 grams
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt or more to taste
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup bone broth or more if needed slightly warmed up
Instructions
- With a fork or potato masher, crush the microwaved and peeled plantains while still fairly hot in a medium-sized bowl.
- Start mashing, and halfway through, stir in the rest of the ingredients. Continue to mash until all the ingredients are well absorbed. Add a splash of extra bone broth to get the desired consistency. Taste test and add more salt, if desired.
