2 Ingredient Dough
Description
The recipe uses equal parts self-rising flour and plain Greek yogurt mixed together to create a pliable dough without the need for added leavening or fats. The dough is gently kneaded until it comes together smoothly and is workable, which can be done by hand or with a dough hook if available.
Because of the simplicity, the dough is adaptable and can be portioned, stored refrigerated for up to three days, or frozen for a month. Allowing the dough to warm to room temperature after refrigeration or freezing before use ensures easier handling and better results during cooking.
Ingredients
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup yogurt plain, Greek
Instructions
- Make dough: Add the flour and yogurt to the bowl of your mixer and mix on medium speed using the dough hook until the dough comes together and comes clean from the side of the bowl. If you don't have a mixer, add the ingredients to a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until just combined, then use your hands to knead the dough a few times until smooth and comes together.
Notes
- If the dough is sticky, gradually add flour one tablespoon at a time until it becomes manageable.
- Wrap dough tightly in plastic wrap for storage, either whole or portioned, refrigerating up to 3 days or freezing up to 1 month.
- Bring refrigerated or frozen dough to room temperature while still wrapped before shaping or cooking.
