30-Minute Vegan Donuts

These 30-Minute Vegan Donuts are prepared with a batter of flour, baking soda, sugar, salt, applesauce, coconut milk, vinegar, and vegetable oil. The donuts can be baked or cooked in a mini-donut maker, yielding tender, lightly sweet treats. Finished donuts are dipped in melted vegan white chocolate tinted with black gel food coloring and decorated with orange icing, creating visually appealing vegan-friendly donuts.

Description

The recipe combines dry ingredients including flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt with wet ingredients of applesauce, coconut milk mixed with vinegar (to curdle and act as a leavening agent), and vegetable oil. The batter is whisked to smoothness and then portioned into donut molds or a mini-donut maker for cooking. Baking times vary depending on the method but remain short, typically 3 to 10 minutes.

For the glaze, vegan white chocolate chips are melted and tinted with black gel food coloring. Vegetable oil may be added to achieve a smooth, dip-ready consistency. Donuts are coated with the chocolate glaze and allowed to set before being decorated with orange icing using a star-shaped tip for a finished look.

These donuts are a plant-based treat suitable for those avoiding animal products while still enjoying classic baked goods with a sweet chocolate topping and decorative icing. The recipe is versatile for quick preparation and appealing presentation.
