5-Minute Olive Oil Bread Dip
Description
The dip begins with good-quality olive oil infused with minced garlic, herbs, and concentrated pastes that add depth and richness to the oil. Fresh oregano and mint bring herbaceous brightness, while kalamata olives contribute savory, salty texture. Sumac and lemon zest add citrusy acidity and a subtle tang. Pomegranate molasses enriches the dip with a sweet and tart complexity. The seasonings come together quickly and benefit from resting to meld flavors.
Served as a dip for crusty bread, this olive oil blend offers varied textures from herbs and olives and a balanced flavor profile combining savory, tangy, and sweet elements. It can be used as a condiment for bread or to complement Mediterranean-style meals.
For intensified flavor, the oil and garlic can be warmed gently to release aromatics before combining all ingredients. Chilling can thicken the dip slightly, and seasoning can be adjusted before serving to taste.
