Air Fryer Asparagus
Description
The asparagus stalks are coated evenly with a blend of olive oil, garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, and kosher salt and black pepper for simple but fragrant seasoning. Then the asparagus is air fried at 400°F for about 6 minutes until tender and the tips show slight browning, preserving a firm yet tender texture.
This technique avoids overcooking the stalks and keeps the natural snap. Sprinkling fresh parsley at the end adds a burst of color and herbaceousness. Serving with fresh lemon wedges adds acidity and brightens the dish.
Medium to thick asparagus stalks are preferred here to prevent mushiness during cooking. The asparagus can be prepared ahead and reheated but tastes best freshly cooked.
Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus trimmed, stalks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning or your favorite dried herb, dried
- salt Kosher, to taste

- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, fresh leaves
- lemon optional, wedges for serving
