Air Fryer Asparagus

Air Fryer Asparagus uses trimmed stalks tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, cooked quickly at high heat to tender-crisp doneness. The asparagus develops lightly browned tips and a flavorful coating from the seasoning mix. Garnished with fresh parsley and optional lemon wedges, this side dish offers a bright, fresh vegetable complement with minimal preparation.

Description

The asparagus stalks are coated evenly with a blend of olive oil, garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, and kosher salt and black pepper for simple but fragrant seasoning. Then the asparagus is air fried at 400°F for about 6 minutes until tender and the tips show slight browning, preserving a firm yet tender texture.

This technique avoids overcooking the stalks and keeps the natural snap. Sprinkling fresh parsley at the end adds a burst of color and herbaceousness. Serving with fresh lemon wedges adds acidity and brightens the dish.

Medium to thick asparagus stalks are preferred here to prevent mushiness during cooking. The asparagus can be prepared ahead and reheated but tastes best freshly cooked.

  • salt Kosher, to taste

  • lemon optional, wedges for serving

Instructions
