Air fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Air fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp pairs juicy shrimp with smoky bacon seasoned in a brown sugar and smoked paprika rub. The bacon crisps up in the air fryer, while the shrimp stays tender inside. Served with sweet chili sauce, this appetizer offers a balance of savory, sweet, and smoky flavors enhanced by a crisp texture.

Description

This recipe wraps peeled shrimp with halved slices of bacon, chilling them briefly to help the bacon hold its shape. The shrimp bundles are coated in a rub of brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, and garlic powder before air frying at high heat. The quick cooking crisps the bacon while cooking the shrimp through without drying.

The combination of ingredients results in a dish that blends the smoky flavor and slightly sweet note from the rub with the natural sweetness of shrimp and the crispy bacon exterior. Sweet chili sauce provides a complementary dipping option.

Arranging the bacon-wrapped shrimp in a single layer with space between pieces in the air fryer basket ensures even cooking. The method offers a straightforward way to make a flavorful and texturally satisfying finger food.
