Air Fryer Broccoli
Description
Air Fryer Broccoli transforms fresh broccoli florets into a lightly crisp and roasted vegetable using avocado oil and simple seasonings including garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. The air fryer cooks them quickly and evenly at 360°F, allowing the florets to crisp up on the edges while remaining tender inside. The optional crushed red pepper adds a hint of heat for those who enjoy spice.
Serving the broccoli immediately with a squeeze or slice of fresh lemon adds a refreshing, acidic note that brightens the flavors. This preparation works well as a side dish to many meals where a lightly seasoned vegetable is desired.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Reheating in the air fryer or oven can help maintain crispness. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving again.
Ingredients
- 1 large broccoli about 4 cups of florets, cut into 1-inch florets, head
- 2 Tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt plus more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper plus more to taste
- crushed red pepper optional, sprinkle
- lemon for serving, optional, slice
Instructions
- Wash and chop broccoli into 1-inch florets. Try to make all the florets about the same size so that they cook evenly.
- Add broccoli to a bowl and toss with oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper, if using.
- Preheat air fryer if required. Add broccoli to the air fryer and cook on 360°F for 6-8 minutes, tossing once halfway through.

Notes
- After cooling, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
- Reheat broccoli in the air fryer or oven to help restore crispness when serving leftovers.
