Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts
Description
This recipe begins by halving Brussels sprouts and tossing them in a marinade made from extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, sea salt, and black pepper. The coated sprouts are placed in the air fryer basket and cooked at 370°F, allowing the heat circulation to roast them evenly. Shaking the basket halfway encourages uniform caramelization and crisping of the edges while keeping the centers tender.
The combination of balsamic vinegar and honey imparts a sweet and tangy glaze that contrasts with the sprouts' naturally slightly bitter flavor. Sprinkling fresh thyme just before serving adds a delicate herbal aroma and flavor.
This dish pairs well with roasted meats or as part of a vegetable side selection. Cooking in an air fryer reduces the amount of oil needed, creating a lighter preparation that still achieves a roasted result.
The cooked sprouts can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about four days and reheated in an air fryer or oven until warm.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts halved
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon thyme use less if using dried thym=, fresh
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.

- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer or oven to restore crispness.
