Description

To make Air Fryer Burgers, ground beef is combined with Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic and onion powders, then gently formed into patties without overmixing, preserving tenderness. Cooking in the air fryer at 360°F for about 14-16 minutes total, flipping once, ensures the burgers cook evenly to an internal temperature of 160°F.

Adding cheese on top near the end melts it nicely over the hot patties. Serving with buns and condiments like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and sauces completes this familiar American-style burger. The air fryer provides convenience and a browned crust without stovetop grease.

A thumbprint pressed in the center of each patty before cooking stabilizes the shape and reduces shrinking, helping to keep the burger's diameter uniform for even cooking and a neater presentation.

  • 1 lb ground beef recommend 85/15, hamburger
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 4 lices cheese
  • 4 Buns
  • lettuce tomatoes, pickles, bacon ketchup, mustard. mayonnaise etc, additional toppings like

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl combine hamburger, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic powder and onion powder and combine with hands. Do not overmix. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Place the burgers in the air fryer, you may have to cook two at a time depending on the size of your air fryer.
  3. Cook the burgers for 8 minutes at 360 degrees F. Flip the burgers over and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the burgers are 160 degrees F.
  4. Top each burger with a slice of cheese and cook for an additional minute or until the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Notes

  • Press a thumbprint into the center of each burger patty before cooking to help maintain shape and reduce shrinking.
