Description

The recipe starts by counting out frozen shrimp and coating them with extra virgin olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic puree, salt, and black pepper. After tossing to evenly distribute the spices, the shrimp are placed in an air fryer basket and cooked at 180°C for 6 minutes. This quickly cooks and crisps the shrimp.

After cooking, an optional second seasoning of Cajun spice and fresh lemon juice is added for brightness and extra heat. The garlic puree contributes moisture and a fresh garlic flavor that complements the Cajun spices. Using frozen shrimp allows for convenient preparation without thawing beforehand.

The dish can be adjusted for spice level by adding more or less seasoning, and quantities can be increased up to 50 shrimp without changing amounts. Different forms of garlic puree or minced garlic can be used depending on personal preference, but dried garlic is discouraged as it lacks moisture.

  • 30 Shrimp frozen
  • ½ Tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 Tsp Garlic puree
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 lemon juice only
  • 1 Tsp Cajun seasoning optional

Instructions

  1. Count out and remove 30 frozen shrimp from your freezer bag. Load into a mixing bowl with your cajun seasoning, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic.
  2. Toss and load into the air fryer basket. Cook for 6 minutes at 180c/360f.
  3. Once cooked sprinkle with extra cajun seasoning and the juice of a lemon.

Notes

  • Extra Cajun seasoning added after cooking enhances spiciness; omit for milder flavor.
  • The recipe scales well up to 50 shrimp without altering seasoning quantities.
  • Use garlic puree or fresh minced garlic for best moisture and flavor; dried garlic is not recommended.
